Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce weak acidic sterilizing water and weak alkaline water by using a diaphragm free electrolytic cell and a diaphragm electrolytic cell.
SOLUTION: An aq. soln. of chloride such as salt or potassium chloride is electrolyzed in a diaphragm free electrolytic cell 23 to form weak alkaline electrolytic water with an effective chlorine concn. of 30ppm or more and this electrolytic water is guided not only to the anode chamber R21 of a diaphragm electrolytic cell 24 but also to a cathode chamber R22 not only to form weak acidic sterilizing water with an effective chlorine concn. of 30ppm or more in the anode chamber R21 but also to form weak alkaline water in the cathode chamber R22.
