PURPOSE: To obtain the subject product having a brilliant moire pattern excellent in the washing resistance by a specific method employing a screen stencil produced by spreading plural meshed woven fabrics for screens on a screen frame in a contact state.
CONSTITUTION: Plural meshed woven fabrics for screens are spread on a screen frame in a contact state to obtain a screen stencil. A dye paste is charged in the paste receiver of the screen stencil, and a squeezer is allowed to travel on the meshed woven fabric of the screen stencil to print the web with the dye paste. The printed web is dried usually at 80-120°C, and subsequently subjected to a dye-fixing treatment, a washing treatment and subsequently a drying treatment. The meshed web is preferably produced of polyester or nylon filaments having a fineness of 5-100 denier. The density of the meshed woven fabric is generally 10-600 filaments/inch (10-600 meshes).
