Title:
PRODUCTION OF YBCO-BASED SUPERCONDUCTING PRECURSOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06127942
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily obtain solution obtaining a precursor of a highly uniform superconductor, superconducting fiber and film by allowing acetoacetic ethyl complex of Y, Ba, etc., to react with triethanolamine in organic solvent.

CONSTITUTION: In organic solvent (e.g. methanol, propanol, acetone, benzene, etc.), acetoacetic ethyl complex of Y, Ba and Cu is allowed to react with triethanolamine. Next, after reaction, the product is distilled to remove the organic solvent and evaporated to dryness to obtain a YBCO-based superconducting precursor. The solution of high concentration of the precursor is viscous and shows excellent spinnability and is spun into fiber. And the precursor powder is melted and spun into fiber. And further the solution and melt are applied to a substrate, etc., to form a film. And the fiber and film are decomposed and sintered to make it insoluble, for example, under conditions of 60-100°C and 1-2mmHg pressure.
