Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form a zirconium nitride coating film capable of giving very fine gold color to members used for watches, glasses and other ornaments ragardless of metals or non-metals, for which decorativeness are required, and excellent in decorativeness and adhesion property.

CONSTITUTION: This zirconium nitride film is formed on the surface of a substrate by using a metal zirconium target and performing reactive sputtering in a gaseous mixture of gaseous nitrogen with gaseous argon at the pressure ratio of gaseous nitrogen to gaseous argon of 0.040.055.
