Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a process for production of Zn coated aluminum material with which the corrosion of Zn films are prevented and which is consequently excellent in corrosion resistance and brazing property.

CONSTITUTION: The amt. of the moisture stuck to the surfaces of the aluminum material after air blow is confined to ≤100μg/cm2 in the process for production of the Zn coated aluminum material which forms the Zn films by thermal spraying on the surfaces of the aluminum material, then subjecting the aluminum material to water cooling and removing the moisture stuck thereto by this air blow. The temp. of the aluminum material after the air blow in this method is preferably set higher by 5 to 50°C than the room temp and the temp. of the cooling water is preferably kept at 20 to 70°C. The air temp. of the air blow is preferably set at 20 to 80°C. The wind velocity of the air blow described above is otherwise preferably specified to 10 to 60m/sec.
