Abstract:
To switch the algorithm of a GC (Garbage Collection) that is executed according to the state of a system, thereby enabling an efficient GC, and always maintaining an environment in which it is possible to execute a thread that must be executed in real time.
Of a plurality of garbage collection threads with different procedures in which an object not referred to by any object in a heap area of a memory is detected and the memory area of the object is released as a memory allocatable free area of another object, the garbage collection thread of one procedure is selected based on the amount of the free area or of the area of the object in use. The garbage collection thread of the selected procedure is executed.
