PURPOSE: To enjoy a broadcast in an excellent reception state at all times by receiving the same program broadcast through plural channels with plural tuners and displaying a signal selected by a tuner with a maximum sensitivity among the plural tuners.

CONSTITUTION: The same program is broadcasted through plural channels at a prescribed district. The user designated the channel numbers by using a selector switch 11 and operates a registration switch 12 to register the channel number to a controller 1. The controller 1 controls a selection circuit 5 to allocate plural channels to a main tuner 3 and tuners 4a, 4b,.... A reception level of each tuner is detected by a level detection circuit 10 and information representing a tuner from which a maximum sensitivity is obtained is outputted to the controller 1. The controller 1 controls a reception channel from which the maximum sensitivity is obtained so as to be received by the main tuner 3 and an IF signal from the tuner 3 is supplied to a video circuit 6 and an audio circuit 7.
