Abstract:
PURPOSE:To find the malfunction of an input part and an external device connected to this input part by providing a data storage part for input check in a programmable controller. CONSTITUTION:The programmable controller having an input part 1, an output part 3, a program memory part 5, a data memory part 2 where states of relays or the like are held, and an operating part 4 is provided with a data storage part 607 for input check. Data which designates a group of input relays and one, at least, of a maximum allowable energizing number and a minimum essential energizing number in this group are stored in the storage part 607, and it is checked whether an actual energizing number is within said designated range or not after the input operation and before the arithmetic operation. Thus, the malfunction of the input part and the external device connected to the input part is found to monitor always it in on-line.
