Abstract:
PURPOSE:To secure the actuation of a programmable controller in accordance with the result of decision for processing mode, by using a means which analyzes a command given from a host computer to decide a fixed time or free time processing mode. CONSTITUTION:A link unit 8 analyzes the mode information given to a command from a host computer 10 and checks whether the command indicates a fixed or free time mode to transmits the result of this check to a CPU 1 as the flag information. The CPU 1 checks and decide the fixed time mode or the free time mode by a flag when the user program execution processing is shifted to the host link service processing. Then a timer 11 is started in the fixed time mode and the corresponding command is processed by repeating the host link service processing whose execution time is prescribed by the timer for each time. While a complete answer is given to the command with the single host link service processing in the case of the free time mode.
