Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a unit which detects a local swelling part of a detected body by taking a measurement by providing a long slide guide with legs equal in length and then by moving a test indicator.
CONSTITUTION: This describes an example of inspection of boiler furnace tube 1. Slide guide 5 is provided with slit 6 and legs 9a and 9b are fitted to inspected tube 1. Since legs 9a and 9b are equal in length, slide guide 5 is placed in parallel with inspected tube 1. Moving dial guage 13 along the slit makes is possible to detect swelling part 17 as the movement of spindle 14 of dial guage 13.
