Abstract:
To provide a projection-type display device that enables accurate control of a light source.SOLUTION: A projection-type display device 100 includes a light source 107, a power determination unit 105, which determines a power value to supply to the light source 107, a power control unit 106, which controls the power value, and a threshold value calculation unit 108, having a storage unit 108A, which stores the accumulated lighting time of the light source 107, and a degradation parameter 108B, which predicts a degradation condition of the light source 107. The threshold value calculation unit 108 calculates a threshold value of the voltage or current at which the light source 107 begins to emit light on the basis of the accumulated lighting time and the degradation parameter 108B. The power control unit 106 changes a power value of the power determination unit 105 in accordance with the power value and the threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
