Abstract:
To provide a projection type video display device in which quality at a seam of multi-screen projection is improved.SOLUTION: A projection type video display device includes a video input unit, a light source, a display element, a projection optical system, and a variable light control function that changes an amount of light to enter the display element. The projection type video display device has a plurality of display modes using the variable light control function, and one display mode of the plurality of display modes can be selected from a menu screen. The display mode for a display video using the variable light control function includes a first display mode to display an input video which is input from an external device while the amount of light control is changed in accordance with light control information that can control the variable light control function of a projected video, and a second display mode to display the input video while the amount of light control is changed in accordance with the input video.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
