Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proportional counter tube capable of suppressing degradation of resolution.SOLUTION: A proportional counter tube 1 includes: a conversion film 23 which receives a neutron N and generates an alpha particle A; a capillary plate 21 that generates an electron C caused by the alpha particle A and generates scintillation light SC by the electron C; a voltage application part 11 that generates an electric field for guiding the electron C; and a chamber 2 for housing the conversion film 23, the capillary plate 21 and the voltage application part 11. The capillary plate 21 is formed with plural through holes 27 arranged in two dimensions. The conversion film 23 covers the openings 27a of the through holes 27.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
