To obtain a propylene block copolymer excellent in mechanical strengths such as rigidity, impact resistance and a balance between them, appearance properties such as whitening resistance, surface hardness, heat resistance, surface gloss and the freedom from flow marks and processability.
This propylene block copolymer comprises 35-95wt.% propylene polymer blocks and blocks of a copolymer of propylene with other α-olefins and has the following properties: (a) the crystallization temperature curve has a sub-peak in the range of 90-100°C in addition to the main peak, and the rate of the area of the sub-peak to that of the main peak is 1.5-10%, and (b) the relationship: 0.1XIS-1≤SMA is satisfied (wherein XIS is the content (wt.%) of xylene extractibles, and SMA is the rate (%) of the area of the sub-peak to that of the main peak).
