Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polypropylene composition which is excellent in moldability, molding shrinkage rate, rigidity, flexibility, impact resistance, especially impact resistance at low temperatures, transparency, luster, resistance to whitening and superb balance between these properties, and also to provide molded products of the composition having all these excellent characteristics.
SOLUTION: The polypropylene composition contains a propylene composition as a base component. The propylene composition consists of a propylene homopolymer and a propylene-ethylene copolymer, where the copolymer has a limiting viscosity [η]RC in the range of 1.7-2.8 dl/g; the ratio of the limiting viscosity of the copolymer to that of the homopolymer [η]RC/[η]PP is in the range of 0.7-1.2; and the product of the weight ratio of the copolymer to that of the homopolymer WPP/WRC and the ratio of limiting viscosities (WPP/ WRC)×([η]RC/[η]PP) is in the range of 1.0-3.0.
