Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a reactor control rod from being vibrated and excited by a coolant flow, and damaged.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of control rod elements 1 connected to a spider arm in a fringe form are independently housed in slender protecting pipes 21, and guided thereby at the insertion into a reactor core or the drawing from the reactor core. A slit 25 allowing the pass of the control rod through the spider arm is axially extended and formed on tlte protecting pipe 21, and the corner parts of both the end parts 21a, 21b are rounded or chamfered.
