Abstract:
To provide a protection method for a bearing of a tool spindle device, which does not cause early wear of a clutch engagement surface without involving cost increase.SOLUTION: A spindle 1 rotatably supported by a plurality of angular-contact bearings 2, has a rotation-side clutch 3 on an outer periphery thereof, and comprises a draw bar 8 inside the clutch 3. A fixed-side clutch 4 is attached to a housing 5, and a piston clutch 7, which is movable in a back and forth direction along a rotation axis L of the spindle 1, is inserted in a flange 6. In addition, the rotation-side clutch 3 and the fixed-side clutch 4, and the piston clutch 7 comprise end surface gears 3a, 4a, 7a sized to engage with each other on facing end surfaces. A tool spindle device M of a tool-replaceable machine tool comprising the spindle 1 brings a tooth surface of the end surface gear 7a of the piston clutch 7 and a tooth surface of the end surface gear 3a of the rotation-side clutch 3 into contact with each other when attaching/detaching the tool.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
