Abstract:
To provide a protection module that can be reduced in size, a battery, and a manufacturing method for the battery.SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, a protection module 11 includes a main body part 111 with a flat-plate shape that is configured to be able to be inserted between a positive electrode layer and a negative electrode layer of a battery cell 12 with a structure where at least the positive electrode layer and the negative electrode layer are stacked, and is formed of a protection circuit and a sealing material for sealing the protection circuit, a first metal electrode B+ with a flat-plate shape that is electrically connected to a positive electrode of the protection circuit and formed so that the positive electrode layer of the battery cell 12 can be brought into contact with one main surface of the main body part 111, and a second metal electrode B- with a flat-plate shape that is electrically connected to a negative electrode of the protection circuit and formed so that the negative electrode layer of the battery cell 12 can be brought into contact with the other main surface of the main body part 111.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
