Title:
PROTECTIVE COAT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000218231
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a product having a coating film suitable for painting and/or engraving as a coating film which prevents the damage to the product due to corrosion and/or wear and leaves visual evidence of impact when it receives the impact.

The product has a coating film consisting of a 1st melt-adhered epoxy resin layer 2 bonded to the product 1, a layer 4 of a polyolefin, e.g. polyethylene bonded to the 1st melt-adhered epoxy resin layer 2 with a 1st adhesive 3 and a 2nd melt-adhered epoxy resin layer 6 bonded to the polyolefin layer 4 with a 2nd adhesive 5. Since the 2nd epoxy resin layer 6 is applied to the entire polyethylene layer 4, the thickness of the polyethylene is increased and the impact resistance of housing at collision with an external body is enhanced.
