Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a protective device for an APD measuring circuit to easily and automatically prevent the damage of an APD.
CONSTITUTION: If an APD 1 produces an abnormal output, the output of a high voltage generator 2 is automatically lowered by providing a comparator 4 for detecting the abnormal output from the APD 1, an FF 6 for storing the abnormal state, a switch element 9 for switching a reference scale voltage, a constant-voltage element 7 for setting the reference scale voltage at the time of normal measurement, and a light emitting diode 8 for setting the reference scale voltage at the time of the abnormal state. A resetting operation from the abnormal state is conducted by a comparator 5 for monitoring the output from the generator 2 and a variable resistor 10.
