Abstract:
To obtain an overcoat which provides improved contamination resistance and wet wear resistance in addition to water resistance and permeability before development.
This photographic element includes a base, at least one silver halide emulsion layer laid on the base and a protective overcoat permeable to a processing solution laid on the emulsion layer. The protective overcoat contains a polyester ionomer. This element relates also to a method for producing a photographic print including the development of the photographic element. The photographic element with a formed image exhibits water resistance, contamination resistance and wet wear resistance.
