PURPOSE: To provide a protector which is prevented from propagation of bacilli due to dirt with sweat and filth and from causing skin diseases due to common use of a plurality of users by disposing an antibacterial deodorant cloth on the inside of the protector which is smeated with the sweat and flith.

CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial deodorant cloth is disposed on portions of a protector for combative sports such as fencing and karate which are smeared with sweat and flith, for example portions of a face guard 1 for fencing which comes in contact directly with the face of a fencer and the inside surface 3 of a quilted coat part. A cloth mixed with copper ion-containing fibers is used for the antibacterial deodorant cloth in view of the antibacterial deodorizing effect and the harmlessness to the skin. Since bacilli are not propagated even if the portions are smeared with the sweat and filth, unpleasant odor is not generated. Also, the protector becomes sanitary even if a plurality of users use one protector and has an effect of promoting health since the circulation of blood is improved by a heat retaining action of the copper ion characteristic.
