To protect a pole body against the edge part or the like of a ski, and adjust the weight balance of the pole body so as to suit each skier by forming a protector like a thin plate expanded to the prescribed length, and arranging a suitable number of the plates on the external surface of a ski pole.
This protector 10 is made of a thin plate member set at a value sufficiently smaller than the outer surface of a shaft 13 and then expanded to the prescribed length along the lengthwise direction of the shaft 13, and has a flexible material 14 such as a synthetic resin fitted to the whole of one side of a material such as rubber having a resilient stability force. Also, the protector 10 has a breadthwise cross section formed like a gutter so as to approximately agree to the curved shape of the cross section of the shaft 13. The protector 10, when used, is fitted to the shaft 13 via the adhesive layer of the synthetic resin material.
