Abstract:
To obtain a protein having telomerase activity that is useful for screening of a telomerase inhibitor and for development of diagnosis using an antibody.
The conjugated protein containing a protein having telomerase activity has the following physical and chemical properties: Action and substrate specificity: To catalyze the elongation of 3'OH terminus of the telomere DNA of the eukaryotic chromosome; Molecular weight: About 40 - about 120kD according to SDS-RAGE, particularly about 110kD, about 58kD and/or about 45kD; Inactivation: Inactivated by Rnase treatment; Properties: Bonds to mouse telomerase.
