Abstract:
SOLUTION: In a provider network, a virtual computing service receives a request for establishment of a compute instance by a control plane server. A first outbound command communicator that is assigned a first network address obtains an indication that the compute instance is to be established at a target host in response to the request, and transmits a message indicating a second network address as a destination. The second network address is a part of a first network established at a client premise. The message comprises a command to establish the compute instance at the target host. The first network address is assigned to the target host within the second network established at the client premise.EFFECT: Processing of the command at the target host results in the establishment of the compute instance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
