Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pruning shears cutting thick branches and the like, and so designed as to prevent an object to be cut from sliding toward the blade edges of the shears.
SOLUTION: The pruning shears have the following structure: a pair of blade bodies 1, 2 are pivotally supported so as to cut branches of a tree with blade edge line 1a, 2a of the blade bodies at the upper parts thereof over a pivoted position via a switching operation of handgrips 4, 5 at the lower parts thereof under the pivoted position; an anti-slip piece 7 the upper end of which has anti-slip function is fixed to the outside surface of the blade body 1; the upper edge of the anti-slip piece 7 is formed so as to project upward over the blade edge 1a of the fixed blade body 1 to prevent the object to be cut from sliding; the upper edge of the anti-slip piece 7 is formed into a saw-tooth shape 8 so that a saw-tooth shaped tip end 8a projects in an oblique direction toward its lower part from its upper part.
