Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a listener to listen to a pseudo stereo sound providing a considerably small amount of a sense of incongruity.
SOLUTION: An external analog monaural input signal S0 is digitized, the digitally converted input signal x0(t) divided by each frame comprising a prescribed time is given to a sound source separation section 2, the sound source separation section 2 carries out sound source separation processing on the basis of the general harmonic analysis to separate the input signal x0(t) into a sound source signal DS and a residue signal DT, and thereafter an output processing section 3 analog-converts the sound source signal DS and a residue signal DT and amplifies them, the sound of resulting output signals S1L, S1R are given to a headphone 6, which allows the listener to listen to the sound as the pseudo stereo sound.
