To obtain an electronic pseudo window in which no sense of incongruity is received in a room in the case that a monitor displaying a video image is arranged in place of a window in an unsunny room or an underground room or the like by configuring an opening of a window frame with a flat display device with a thin profile.
A circumferential part of the pseudo window 1 is formed by a window frame consisting of a wooden frame 2a and a metallic frame 2b or the like and a flat display device 3 with a thin profile configured by an active matrix flat panel, a plasma display panel or a liquid crystal display device or the like is provided to an opening of the window frame. The pseudo window 1 is arranged on a wall or a window of a room in which an existing external scene or a video image recorded in advance or the like is displayed. Thus, when the pseudo window 1 is installed on the wall or the window of a room, the electronic pseudo window 1 is obtained in which a sense of incongruity is not caused in the room.
