Abstract:

To provide a tubular graft which is strengthened by a tape from the outside.

A manufacturing method of the tubular blood vessel graft which can be radially enlarged and is strengthened by the tape comprises (a) a process to prepare a processed article equipped with i. a tubular basal graft which has an outer surface and a hollow lumen to extend in the outer surface in a longitudinal direction and is substantially comprised of a sintered fluoropolymer material, and ii. a strengthening tape which is twisted around the outer surface of the tubular basal graft and has a film substantially comprised of the sintered fluoropolymer material, and (b) a process to make the graft assume a radially contracted situation so that when the processed article is radially contracted, the graft can be radially enlarged in succession thereby.
