Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect a charge according to the kind of information by collecting no charge for the retrieval of matched information, when telephone book information and charge exception information are match with each other, in a public telephone set provided with an information retrieval function.
SOLUTION: An information processing and retrieving part 11 reads the telephone book information adapted to retrieval information from a service information storing part 12, reads telephone number information of charge, except for the information from a charge exception information storing part 14 to write the matched telephone number information in a display data information variable of a RAM 11C and to write the unmatching telephone number information in a mask information variable of the RAM 11C. The part 11 displays telephone number information written in the display data variable on an LCD display 17A. Telephone number information to be displayed first is free dial information, etc., registered as charge exception information. When the telephone number information is written in the mask information variable, 'information requiring retrieval charge is retrieved' is displayed.
