To provide pulleys 1 and 2 for a continuously variable transmission capable of suppressing the emission of sounds, vibrations, and noises generated when a chain 3 winds round the pulleys 1 and 2 and abut.
The pulleys 1 and 2 for the continuously variable transmission are structured so that stationary sheaves 1a and 2a in the shape of a truncated cone and movable sheaves 1b and 2b in the shape of truncated cone are arranged with their conical surfaces 1c, 2c, 1d, 2d opposing each other and the chain 3 consisting of a plurality of links 10 coupled together endlessly by pins 11 is set winding round the conical surfaces 1c, 2c, 1d, 2d, wherein the arrangement includes a vibration control member 20 installed at least on the side with the cone bottom surfaces 1e and 2e of the stationary sheaves 1a and 2a.
