Title:
PULLEY WITH PIVOTING FLANGE AND BUILT-IN JAMMER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3961067
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small pulley having pivoting flanges and a reliable return preventing device.
SOLUTION: A pulley 10 has a pair of flanges 28, a rotating roller 16 mounted on a first spindle 14, and a joint connecting means for a second flange 28 which rocks over the first spindle 14. A jammer 21 is built into the pulley 10 and comprises a movable tumbler 20 jointed to the second spindle 18 between the working locking position and the non-working non-locking position of a rope. The spindle 18 is tubular, extends parallel to the first spindle 14, and has an inner orifice designed to match a complementary hole in the second flange 28 so that when the second flange 28 has reached a predetermined position near a closed position, a snap and hook can be attached through the joint connection of the tumbler 20 and so that at the same time the second flange 28 can be locked in a closed position.
