Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a pulp fiber for improving the yields of papermaking chemicals and a loading material and extremely bettering paper strength and a paper and to provide a method for producing the paper.
SOLUTION: This pulp fiber is a pulp fiber obtained by adjusting the zeta- potential of pulp fiber to ≥3 mV lower than that before the adjustment. This paper comprises at least one kind of the pulp fiber. This method for producing the paper comprises adjusting the electrical conductivity of a slurry composed of the pulp fiber to ≥0.4 mS/cm electrical conductivity to give a slurry and adding a carboxymethylcellulose having 0.3-0.6 degree of substitution to the slurry.
