In a pulper, first openings 4a communicate with respective second openings 10a. A strainer member 4 is located on a raw material inflow side and is divided. A strainer support member 10 includes: plural support parts 10C formed from an outer edge 10A of the strainer support member toward an inner edge 10B of the strainer support member; and the plural second openings formed between adjacent ones of the support parts. An end 4X of a strainer member division and an adjacent end 4Y of a strainer member division are located on each support part, and the end of the strainer member division and the adjacent end of the strainer member division are detachably fixed on each support part by fixing means 20. A recess is formed between the end of the strainer member division and the adjacent end of the strainer member division so as to be lower than the surface of the strainer member. The bottom of the recess is constituted by each support part of the strainer support member.
