Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide transmission information of excellent quality with less noise from the low frequency band components of pulse signals on a reception side by reducing low frequency band conversion noise in the transmitted pulse signals in the pulse transmission system of a PFM system.
SOLUTION: This transmitter 10 on a transmission side is provided with a Gauss filter 26 between a PFM converter 24 and a transmission laser part 28. In the transmitter 10, PFM signals Spfm1 composed of rectangular wave pulses are outputted from the PFM converter 24 and the PFM signals Spfm1 are inputted to the Gauss filter 26. The PFM signals Spfm1 pass through the Gauss filter 26 and then become the PFM signals Sgfm1 composed of Gauss type pulses. The Gauss type PFM signals Sgfm1 are converted to optical signals Sgfm2 by the transmission laser part 28 and transmitted to the reception side through an optical fiber 30.
