Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce NOx and the unburnt combustibles in the emission and stabilize the ignition relating to a pulverized coal-firing burner in a power plant boiler.
CONSTITUTION: A burner has an ejection hole 3 for secondary air for combustion in the middle and an ejection hole 2 for a mixture of pulverized coal and primary air for conveyance peripherally inside the burner. The flow rate of the secondary air is set at 40m/s to 60m/s. Between the flow of secondary air and that of the mixture of pulverized coal and primary air for conveyance, a spacer 5 is provided so as to retard their mutual diffusion.
