To prevent the temp. dropping of molten metal in a rising part without a trouble in the fitting to the forcible feeding part of an exhaust tube by arranging an immersion type heater which is immersed into the feed-out molten metal and freely held to the temp. of the molten metal in the piping at the rising part of the exhaust tube.
A pump for molten metal is provided with the forcible feeding part 1 for feeding out the molten metal M from a molten metal pool part 5 in a holding furnace 4 fitted to a pump fitting part 4b arranged on a furnace cover 4a of the holding furnace 4 for holding the temp. of the molten metal M to a prescribed temp. and exhaust tube 2 for feeding out the molten metal M spouting from the forcible feeding part 1. The exhaust tube 2 is arranged at the upper part of the furnace cover 4a and provided with the rising part 2a connected with a temp. held molten metal temp. holding tube 6 and the rising part 2a feeds out the molten metal M fed out from the forcible feeding part 1 toward the molten metal temp. holding feeding tube 6. In the piping of the rising part 2a, the immersion type heater 3 immersed into the fed-out molten metal M and composed of the electric heater 3A covered with a protecting tube 3a freely holding the temp. of the molten metal M.
