Abstract:
The invention relates to a pump assembly comprising a vane-cell pump and a second hydraulic pump which is driven together with the same. The vane-cell pump has a suction area in which first pressure chambers between the vanes and second, rear pressure chambers enlarge behind the vanes, and has a pressure area in which the pressure chambers become smaller, and in which the pressure chambers are fluidically connected to a pressure output. The vane-cell pump is provided, in particular, for delivering hydraulic fluid under a relatively high pressure to the adjusting cylinder of a hydromechanical transmission of a motor vehicle. The second hydraulic pump has positively-driven displacement elements and is provided for delivering hydraulic fluid of a circuit with a relatively low system pressure, especially of a lubricating oil circuit of the motor vehicle. According to the invention, the rear pressure chambers of the vane-cell pump are connected in the suction area to the pressure output of the second hydraulic pump so that the vane-cell pump can commence delivery of hydraulic fluid also in the instances of low outside temperatures and of hydraulic fluid which is already highly viscous at low driving motor speeds.
