Abstract:
To provide a perforator and image forming system capable of suppressing a manufacturing cost from increasing.SOLUTION: A perforator comprises: a perforation processing unit that is made movable in a sheet-width direction orthogonal to a sheet-transport direction so as to wait for coming of a sheet and perforate the sheet arrived; a moving unit that moves the perforation processing unit in the sheet-width direction; a control unit that controls the moving unit such that the perforation processing unit moves between a standby position for waiting for coming of a sheet and a perforation position for perforating the sheet; and a detecting unit that detects a position in the sheet-width direction of the sheet coming to the perforation processing unit. The control unit determines a quantity and direction of movement of the perforation processing unit in moving the perforation processing unit from the perforation position to the standby position, based on the position in the sheet-width direction of the detected sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
