PURPOSE: To provide a push-back type punching device for a credit card or the like allowing satisfactory cutting and preventing the occurrence of a defective product by forming the upper face of a die into a protruded shape.

CONSTITUTION: The upper face of a die 18 is formed into a protruded shape around a hole section 21. Ridge sections 23 are formed at both corner sections on one diagonal line of the upper peripheral section 22 of the hole section 21, valley sections 24 are formed at the other corner sections, and both valley sections 24 are made gradually lower from both ridge sections 23. The upper face of a push-back receiving body 31 at the lift limit is made equal in height to the ridge sections 23. Since cutting proceeds with a time difference, the force required for pressing can be made small. Since the push-back receiving body 31 and the ridge sections 23 are set to the same height, the deflection of the product portion of a cut sheet is prevented, and the accuracy of the size and shape of the product is secured. No hindrance occurs on the conveyance of the pushed-back product.
