A user 3 receives a receipt 10, on which a result of coding carried out by using a commodity and at least a date and a total amount of a transaction as keys is printed as a coding symbol, from a shop 1 in purchase of the commodity. On the shop 1 side, the coding result is registered in a database of a server 2 on the basis of the issued receipt (1-1). The user 3 makes access to a Web page W to input a user ID and a password (3-1), while on the server 2 side, collation of the user ID and the password is carried out (2-1). If accordance of them is obtained, log-in is allowed. The user 1 inputs information of the received receipt on the Web page W (3-2), and on the Web page W, registered receipt information is retrieved for checking its accordance. If accordance is obtained, the server 2 adds the receipt information to a purchase history of the user until this time (2-2), and this fact is displayed on the Web page W (2-3). The display is examined by the user 1 on his/her own personal computer (3-3).
