Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the decrease of the quantity of filtrate from a reverse osmosis membrane device installed behind a desalting device using ion exchange resins and to reduce the frequency of washing.
SOLUTION: A pure water producing apparatus has a desalting device 5 in which a cation exchange resin column 1 and an anion exchange resin column 2 are installed in turn for the desalting of raw water 8 and a reverse osmosis membrane device 7 installed behind the desalting device 5. In this process, a cation exchange resin column 6 is installed between the desalting device 5 and the reverse osmosis membrane device 7.
