Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lactam purification method which efficiently reduces microgel in anhydrous lactam in which the microgel generates due to storage abnormality of hydrous lactam, supervisory oversight of an operation condition in dehydration distillation or the like in an anhydrous lactam production process, and which makes the lactam usable as a raw material for producing films, highly functional fibers or the like.SOLUTION: A purification method for lactams is characterized by holding the lactams in which the number of microgel having the grain size of 1-30 μm present in the lactam is 70 pieces/mg or more in the atmosphere of 70-100°C and 5 vol% or less of an oxygen concentration for 24 hrs. or more in the process of producing the 3-6C lactams having a water content of 0.1 wt.% or less.
