Abstract:

To provide a method for large scale purification of neurotrophins, including mature NGF and suitable for therapeutic applications.

The method provides a means to separate neurotrophins from various less desirable misprocessed, misfolded, size, glycosylated charge forms through reverse-phase liquid chromatography, a cation exchange chromatography column or the like. By the method, neurotrophin compositions, including mature NGF substantially free of these variants, can also be produced.
