Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the horizontal part of piping, to reduce the sticking amount of a clad from in a reactor, and to reduce exposure by setting reactor water takeout piping above the bottom part of a nuclear reactor pressure container and leading it out of the container.

CONSTITUTION: The cooling material in the nuclear reactor pressure container 1 is conveyed to the purifying device 8 by piping 1 which has an opening end at the bottom part of the container 1 and piping 4 which branches from recirculation piping. The piping 11 is led out of the container above the reactor core 12 in the container 1, a valve 13 for siphone breaking is installed at the highest part, and a siphone break is made between the inside and outside of the container 1. The piping 11 is led out of the container 1 from above the lowest bottom part of the container 1 to make the gradient of the piping large outside the container 1, thereby suppressing the sticking of the clad in the cooling material on the internal surface of the piping 11. Further, the piping part 11 arranged in the container 1 utilizes the steel plate of the container 1 as a shield material because the thickness of the steel plate is about 16cm.
