Title:
PUSH BUTTON SWITCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0492320
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To shorten a height without reducing a sliding distance by a method wherein, when a stem is pushed, a second guide tube of a sliding member is moved relatively to a first guide tube of the housing and to a sliding projection of the stem respectively, and the upper ends of the first and second guide tubes are positioned inside a notch of the stem.

CONSTITUTION: Since a sliding member 9 having a second guide tube 26 free slidable to a first guide tube 14 of a housing 7 and to a sliding projection 38 of a stem 11 respectively is interposed between the housing 7 and the stem 11, a sliding distance can be doubled as compared with ones, in which the stem is made to directly slide along the guide tube of the housing so as to maintain sliding feeling of about the same degree with the prior ones and in addition to sharply shorten a size in height of a push button switch. Further, since the upper ends of the first and second tubes 14, 26 are positioned together inside the notch 36 of the stem 11 at the stroke lowest point of a key top 12, the size in height can be further shortened by an overlap part between both guide tubes 14, 16 and the groove.
