PURPOSE: To enable a right straight swing motion of a putter to be mastered by restricting a putter body together with a body holding part with a pair of guide members to be moved linearly along the arcuate upper end surfaces of a pair of guide rails disposed in parallel.

CONSTITUTION: A putter training device 1 is provided with a training stand 5 on which a pair of guide rails 3, 4 disposed in parallel and having arcuate upper end surfaces 3a, 4a corresponding to the linear locus of putter swing are elected from a rolling surface 2 on which a golf ball rolls. A putter holding mechanism section 13 is provided which is provided with a body holding part 8 for holding removably a putter body 7 with the surface thereof abutting against the golf ball being exposed and a pair of guide members 11, 12 for guiding the putter body 7 held by the body holding part 8 along the guide rails 3, 4 and mounted orthogonally to the surface 7a of the putter body 7 abutting against the golf ball on the lower side of the body holding part 8. Thus, the right straight swing motion of the putter can be mastered.
