Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a novel compound useful as an antiserotonin agent or its intermediate.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I [R1 is -OH -OCH2-Ph (Ph is phenyl), a group of formula II; R2 is H,-COOR (R is 1-3C alkyl)]. For example, 1-(isopylamino)-3-(pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrido-4-yloxy)-2-propanol. The compound of formula I is produced by reacting 3-(pyrazolo[1m5-a]pyrido-4-yloxy)-1,2- epoxypropane of formula III with isopropyl amine.
