There is disclosed a compound useful as a protein kinase inhibitor. There are disclosed a composition including such compound and a method of the use. In detail, there are disclosed, a compound as an inhibitor of Aurora-2 protein kinase, in more detail, a compound of formula IIIa, or its pharmaceutically acceptable derivative or a prodrug thereof, and a method treating a disease relevant to a protein kinase, especially a disease relevant to Aurora-2 (for example, cancer).
