Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a new pyrenylamine derivative, having unsaturated bond and useful as an organic photoconductive material and a fluorescent brightener, especially an organic electrophotographic photoconductive material.
CONSTITUTION: This compound is expressed by formula I [R1 and R2 are halogen, NO2, CN or respectively substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkoxy or phenyl; R3 and R4 are H, CN, formyl, alkoxycarbonyl or respectively substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or phenyl; R5 is lower alkyl; W is H, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, phenylthio, bivalent group composed of linear unsaturated hydrocarbon, monovalent group of substituted or unsubstituted carbocyclic aromatic group or mono- or bivalent group composed of substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic ring; (j) is 0-5; (k) is 0-4; (l) is 0-2; (m) is l or 2;(n)is 0-3], e.g. N-(4-methylphenyl)-N-(4-styrylphenyl)-1-aminopyrene. The compound is obtained by reacting a compound expressed by formula II with a compound expressed by formula III [X is P+(R6)3Y-].
